Each earring was made with an origami folded paper crane made from sheet music, paired with a black glass bead, hanging with a wavy connector from a fish hook ear-wire, both in gunmetal color. Very lightweight.
The length of the earring from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the of the bead is about 2″. The width of the crane is about 1.63″.
The origami cranes were sealed with several coats of Mod Podge and non-yellowing satin varnish to add durability and protect them from moisture. But they are not waterproof, so do not submerge the earrings in water, or wear them to go swimming or taking showers.
