WHY Fans Want Tyra Banks Fired from Dancing With The Stars

Dancing with the Stars fans everywhere were shocked earlier this week when there was a big error during this week’s elimination. Many blamed host Tyra Banks for the mistake, and we are here to talk what really happened.

As always I’m your host Tyler Joseph Ellis, and I have been following this season of DWTS alongside Fiona Zaring every week. We discussed this error during our weekly recap, but it has truly exploded into a social media storm.

So in case you missed it, Tyra declared Netflix’s Cheer coach Monica Aldama and her partner safe from elimination, only to call them back when Tyra was told that the pair was actually in the bottom two. Monica was not eliminated (Anne heche was), but fans were upset.
“There’s been an error in our control room, but we’re making it happen,” Banks said. “This is live TV, right? This is the craziness of live TV.”

After the incident, Tyra tweeted
“Wowzers. Live TV. Wrong name on cards,” Banks tweeted. “So challenging to deal with moments like these. But we power through.”

Val Chmerkovskiy, Monica’s partner, tweeted “Just got Steve Harvey’d #dwts”

This is of course in reference to the Miss Universe 2015 mishap when Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner.

Ultimately, I thought this was all just a dramatic live TV moment. I live for things like this! But many didn’t share that opinion.

Tom Bergeron has hosted the ABC show since the beginning, but this season, the show’s 29th, is the first with his replacement. Fans were already wary of Tyra’s taking over, so this mishap, along with people’s very strong opinions on Tyra’s outfits this season, fueled this anti-Tyra fire.

Some of the audience took to Twitter and went so far as to demand Banks be fired for the mistake.
