Usain Bolt And Partner Announce Birth Of Newborn Twins And Their Names Are Iconic

Legendary Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, along with his partner Kasi Bennett, announced the birth of twin boys in a post shared on his Instagram and their names are iconic.

The couple shared beautiful photos of his newborns, named Thunder and Saint Leo, accompanied by their daughter Olympia Lightning. The names of the children match the charisma and electric personality of their superstar father.

“Happy Father’s Day to my forever love! Usain Bolt. You are the rock of this family and the greatest daddy to our little ones. We love you world without end,” Bennett’s caption read.

It’s unclear the exact date when the twins were born but according to the photos the couple shared, they are adorable.

A philanthropist and entrepreneur, Bennett founded Project Kase, a non-profit that supports the development of Jamaica’s children. Also, she serves as the Managing Director of Elevate Marketing House Limited, a marketing and business development agency based out of Kingston, Jamaica.

Last July, the couple announced the birth of Olympia Lightning to the world, Yahoo News reported. Less than a year later, the family has expanded with the addition of Thunder and Saint Leo.

“We have started a new chapter together with our daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt I look forward to what the future will bring for us but be reassured that I will be the ROCK for this family,” Bolt said.

As the 2021 Olympic games approach, don’t expect Bolt to suit up and represent his country. He does, however, plan to be cheering the Jamaican team from the stands.

“I’m definitely excited to be in the stands,” he said. “I’ve never got an opportunity to really watch Olympic Games, to either go [watch] swimming, the soccer or just to see all the events. So I’m excited to actually get the chance to really experience Olympics like a true fan.”

A decorated Olympian, Bolt won the 100m and 200m Olympic gold medals in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 games.

Although he retired from the sport in 2017, Bolt still holds the title of the fastest man in the world setting world records of 9.58 seconds in the 100-meter sprint at the Berlin World Championships in 2009 and the 200-meter with a time of 19.19 seconds.

While Bolt’s professional records are still intact, his junior record was recently broken by American sprinter Erriyon Knighton at the American Track League meet in Jacksonville, Florida on June 3.
