Top 10 Richest People in Florida
Despite Florida’s reputation as a safe haven for the retired and the reckless, there’s actually a surprisingly large number of wealthy residents. In fact, the Forbes 2019 ranking of billionaires revealed a startling fact. The list chronicled every known billionaire in the world – two thousand, one hundred and fifty three. According to the same list fifty two of them are from, or live in, Florida. That means that two percent of the entire world’s billionaires live somewhere in the state.
This may seem shocking, but it actually makes a fair bit of sense. Florida is known for its year round warm weather, its complete lack of snow, its abundance of land, and relatively cheap cost of living and taxes.
