Tiger Woods was speeding at time of crash, no evidence of impairment: LA police | FULL

Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Daryl Osby said on Tuesday that PGA golfer Tiger Woods was “conscious” when first responders arrived at the scene of a vehicle rollover that left him with serious injuries to his legs.

Osby provided the update as part of a media availability alongside the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday.

Sheriff Alex Villaneuva said there was no evidence Woods was impaired at the time of the crash, but said it appeared he was speeding when the rollover occurred.

He said the cabin of the vehicle remained intact, which he added “gave him the cushion to survive.”
