Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and state legislatures have been working to fill a void left behind in the wake of the state penalizing employers who hired undocumented workers. A new bill, SB 918, shows that child labor is their answer.
“Yes, we had people that left because of those rules, but you’ve also been able to hire other people,” DeSantis said during a panel discussion last week. “And what’s wrong with expecting our young people to be working part-time now?
