I’m a sucker for color! I love putting colors together that people wouldn’t ordinarily wear. Color to me is a way to express your personality. Most days I dress for the mood I’m in and when I’m in not such a good mood, I get dressed in bright colors that will help lift my spirits. During the holidays I want to be uplifted all season long, so I keep the bright colors going.

If you’re not sure how to put together a colorful holiday outfit, I’ve got you covered. Pleated skirts are everything to me. I have over a dozen in my closet so naturally this look was going to be best with a pleated skirt. Here’s a few tips for how to style a pleated skirt just in case.
The first thing you’re going to need to do is check out your wardrobe essentials. Figure out what pieces or what colors you’re going to want to start with. The best place that I’ve found inspiration is on Pinterest. After you’ve decided on your color scheme you can go shopping for the pieces you need. Style your pieces, add a few accessories and wear your look with confidence. Recreating this look is as simple as that.
One of the things that I love about the red and greenish gold color combo is that I can make it work for so many holidays. I originally styled it for Christmas but honestly with the right accessories this could work for Valentine’s Day, Fourth of July or Labor Day. If you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day you could make it work for that too.
