Pre-Code Musicals: Young And Healthy

It took me longer to put together this video than I anticipated (I put together a brief preview clip for it back in December) but here it is! I tried to include as many pre-code musical films that I could find or afford. Some of the films featured are in the public domain, hence why the print quality isn’t as pristine as some of the others. These movies are a very interesting glimpse at films before the Production Code was enforced, although I tried to limit some of the raunchier or more revealing scenes in order to avoid the video possibly being flagged for mature content. Dick Powell provides the background music, singing “Young And Healthy”. Enjoy!
