Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) called for in a fiery House Oversight hearing, accusing PBS and NPR of spreading “radical left-wing propaganda” on the taxpayer’s dime. MTG didn’t hold back: “The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is using taxpayer dollars to suppress the truth, suppress diverse viewpoints, and produce some of the most ludicrous content,” she said, before declaring a call for “the complete and total defund and dismantling of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.” Backed by Trump and other GOP leaders, MTG’s proposal is now a rallying cry for conservatives demanding fiscal responsibility and media neutrality.
