Louis Farrakhan Lies (AGAIN) About Malcolm X (1976)
In this rare 1976 interview #LouisFarrakhan – who, following the death of #ElijahMuhammad, agreed to serve as National Spokesman to Elijah’s seventh son and successor (Warith Deen Mohammed) – attempts to explain the philosophy of his new organisation known as the “World Community of Islam in the West” (WCIW).
During the interview #Farrakhan gives another one of his deceitful answers when asked about #MalcolmX (after whom Warith Deen chose to rename New York’s Temple #7). Farrakhan attempts to play down the Nation of Islam’s schism with Malcolm by stating that when his former mentor left the NOI there was “no mention of his accomplishments”. Which is rather like Adolf Hitler stating that when he became Chancellor of Germany there was “no mention of the accomplishments of the Jews.” [Malcolm, as the world knows, did not die from a woeful dose of ingratitude induced by the Nation of Islam’s “lack of acknowledgement of his accomplishments” but from a systematic campaign of slander, vilification and incitement by Farrakhan and others which resulted in Malcolm’s cold-blooded murder by NOI assassins at New York’s Audubon Ballroom on the 21st February 1965.] Farrakhan would later “turn hypocrite” in 1978 and leave the #WCIW in the same way that he had earlier condemned Malcolm for leaving the Nation of Islam.
Farrakhan, whom Warith Deen appointed an orthodox Sunni Imam, served under his new leader for 3+1⁄2 years from 1975 to 1978 and was even given the name ‘Abdul-Haleem’ by Warith Deen. In 1978, the power-hungry Farrakhan and a band of defectors turned traitor on Warith Deen, abandoned the WCIW and set about rebuilding the original ‘Nation of Islam’ upon the foundations established by Elijah Muhammad.
