Leigh-Anne Drops ‘My Love’ Single, Dances Through Lagos In Music Video With Ayra Starr

Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne has dropped her new single, “My Love,” as well as the music video for the track. The UK-born singer recruited Nigerian artist Ayra Starr to jump on the infectious song.
“My Love” is the much-anticipated follow-up to her smash hit, “Don’t Say Love,” which she dropped in June.
The Afrobeats/Afropop track is an anthem to exploring the complex truths about self-love and relationships.
In an announcement for the song Leigh-Anne expressed how she knew “My Love” would be a hit.
“When we wrote this song, I just knew it was something special, it perfectly captures the essence of who I want to be as a solo artist,” she said. “That feel-good, powerful, and anthemic song – it’s all about celebrating self-love and embracing its incredible power.”
She noted that Starr fit the song’s energy perfectly, adding, “[And] when there was a discussion on a feature I know Ayra was the only one who could embody and amplify this message.”
“My Love” features production from Magicsticks and other collaborators include PRGSHN, Khris Riddick-Tynes of The Rascals, Alex Goldblatt, Kameron Glasper and DYO.
The cinematic music video directed by Meji Alabi picks up where the visuals for “Don’t Say Love” left off. Leigh-Anne emerges from the ocean, cementing her rebirth as a solo artist. The choreography-heavy video showcases the duo dancing their way through the hustle and bustle of Lagos. The culture and beauty of Nigeria play a significant part in the video spotlighting local actors and dancers.
