Georgia Woman Accused of Posing As KKK Member, Allegedly Sent Racist Letters To Families
Police said that similar letters were found in the residents’ mailboxes on Feb. 17, Feb. 22, March 1, and March 3. At least seven black residents reported receiving such notes, however, police believe there were likely more.
According to police, they went door to door in the neighborhood, checking doorbell and security cameras after the first notes were reported. After a investigation was conducted, authorities connected the evidence, obtained a warrant, and searched Lucas’ home, linking her to the incidents.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News that Lucas appeared in court last week and was denied bond.
