A Little Too Late For TV Changes | Black Actors White Voices

#Adversity #Inequality #Discrimination #WNTTV

This video is about how there may have been a conscious and subconscious effort to influence with the use of Television. I’ve used Blackface to give details on my thoughts and how I believe changes sparked in large by the black lives matter movement may not help the case but hurt it.

Script: Why Television Changes Does Not Help

In light of the death of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and the entire Black Lives Matter movement; emerge a number of celebrities, TV shows, or television hosts – – who have either resigned, were canceled, or receiving heavy pressure from the public to quit. Although I support the light that have been ignited to actually make an attempt at change, I can’t help but to think how much the role of these CHANGES play a part in actual progress. . Changes in media, I mean.. Hell, I could even argue that white people Quitting their roles in acting is actually doing more harm for our society than it is any good. I mean think about it, almost everything we’ve learnt has been taught to us, and media is not different in that regards. Media helps shape how we perceive the world around us, and has been used persistently from the past to present for the creators personal gain. Often times, minorities were antagonized in these portrayals of theatrics, or performances, and the cynical nature of media does not help. As a guideline we’re going to briefly cover a topic throughout this video to help you understand what I mean. The topic, or era if you like to call it is the black face era. And although performances like these were not the majority of media showcased, traces of the model black face uses in my opinion inadvertently affects our country today. The first thing that would come to your mind when viewing performances like these is the bigotry, manipulation, and self interest that’s involved. Blackface was an era in the 1820s that Stretched throughout the end of the civil war, to propagate against the colored. White People painted their faces black and partook in comedic acts. The goal of these shows were to ridicule, scrutinize, and oppress the colored people by way of exaggerating their daily lives. Here are a few clips of these quote “exaggerations” . We can’t help but to question the residual effects that performance like these. . . and the propaganda that followed had on the thoughts that people have today. See, the main reason for the thoughts that linger is because it hadn’t not really ended, But had transformed. Today, the colored take on the roles of crime ridden lives, where drugs, guns, violence, and gang activity occurs. Point being minorities are always on the negative side of things and it affects how you make decisions and create desires in your life to name a few. anyone notices that the colored person always dies first? And a setting in a movie where a colored man or woman wears a suit and tie and owns a Fortune 500 company? You can forget about it.. and I can go on and on about how minorities are portrayed in a more dark and negative manner. And this belief inevitably extends itself, into real life. I cannot speak for everyone watching, but it seems weird that people generally never had a problem with the entertainment they’ve soaked in – But within the realms of Hollywood’s elite, are people who is Hell bent on providing change in this manner. Have you ever thought that the need to make these changes are to further destroy? Like black face? See Your subconscious mind is a memory bank that literally stores everything that happens to you, and the permanent storage of these memories has a huge affect on how you perceive life, and make judgments. It is responsible for creating the emotions and desires that you find most suitable. This subconscious form of thinking is one that is subjective and does not reason independently instead, it obeys your conscious mind. Meaning everything that you and I partake in both . . .
