Celebrating The Culture: A Black History Month Project for Grown-Ups
Happy Black History Month fam!
Remember back in school when we’d all do our Black History Month projects on the same few people?! Well, I decided to take it ALL the way back (blame the pandemic) and embark on a Black History Month Project For Grown-ups!!! In my own journey to seek knowledge and broaden my understanding, this project went from being a labor of love to one of necessity. Considering the gross miseducation that WE have ALL experienced, our world is still plagued by some of the primitive and harmful beliefs that were set in place hundreds of years ago.
I reached out to some awesome, busy, beautiful people to help me bring this vision to life and I’m SO excited to share what we’ve put together.
EVERYDAY for the next 28 days, me and my super-friends will be #CelebratingTheCulture by presenting #BlackHistory facts that you didn’t learn in school. Be prepared to feel some things, be open to unlearning false notions, be ready to have your perspective shifted.
