Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Letter from Birmingham Jail"

On Feb. 24, 2014, the Aspen Institute held an event at the Washington National Cathedral commemorating 50 years of featuring Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail” in the Aspen Seminar. With a discussion led by Aspen Institute President and CEO Walter Isaacson, the talk featured some of the country’s greatest thinkers: civil rights leader Julian Bond, US Poet Laureate Natasha Tretheway, Dean of the Washington National Cathedral Rev. Gary Hall, and Yale Law professor Stephen L. Carter.
