Womens Tie Dye Hoodie DIY in 4 Simple Steps
Save money with this easy womens tie dye hoodie DIY that’s perfect for going out or staying in. Take it a step further by customizing it with your Cricut too!
Blue is Tatiana’s favorite color. When I saw these blue hoodies I absolutely had to have them. I have been wanting to make some matching mom and me hoodies for the cooler weather coming up and these were perfect to DIY. Tie dye is super messy and with two kids at home, it can be time consuming. Although it’s a super fun activity and can be great for bonding, buying your tie dye hoodies and customizing them with your Cricut will save you time and money. We bought our matching tie dye hoodies from Old Navy and let me tell you that they are so comfy. I couldn’t have asked for something so cozy. We loved them so much that we went back and bought other colors to DIY those too!
Womens Tie Dye Hoodie DIY
If you’re wanting to make your very own women’s tie dye hoodie, you can do so easily with these simple steps. You only need a couple of supplies including your Cricut machine (find out which one is right for you here) and a little extra time for DIY.
Supplies
- Cricut Explore 3 or Cricut Maker 3 (if you’re wanting to buy one but not sure which one is right for you, check out this post)
- Cricut Design Space (highly recommend premium access membership for access to more designs
- Cricut Everyday Iron-on also known as HTV (heat transfer vinyl)
- Cricut Weeding Tool
- Cricut EasyPress (the 9×9 or EasyPress Mini size will both work. I recommend the larger size as it will get the job done quicker)
Instructions
- First start by creating your design in Cricut Design Space. If you’re using the design I’ve used, make sure to size the design to the correct size for the hoodie that you’re using.
- Cut your design using your Cricut machine.
- Layer your design together if needed. Once your design is ready, position the design onto the hoodie where you’d like it to go.
- Use your Cricut EasyPress to adhere your design to the hoodie. You can use the guide here to make sure you’re using the correct settings for your hoodie.
