Woman in wheelchair robs, threatens to kill everyone at downtown Jacksonville bank
“It’s the first one I have had where a suspect is in an electric wheelchair and does what she does,” Lt. Derrick Boucher said. 39-year-old Kenyeitta La-Key Gordon of East 48th St., was arrested a short time later and charged with arm robbery, possession of drug paraphernalia and currently remains in jail without bail.
Police says a Black woman in a wheelchair with short blond hair wearing a black and silver COVID-19 mask and covered in a red blanket came into the bank. At first she handled some banking business with a teller and then asked to withdraw some money from her account according to the police report.
The teller says she couldn’t do that type of transaction and she began cursing at the teller demanding money as she said this robbery and “was going to kill everyone” the Sheriff’s Office said. There were four workers and two other customers inside at the time.
