Twitter Debates Whether Morgan Freeman Or James Earl Jones Has A More Iconic Voice
Jones’ most memorable roles also include his performance as King Jaffe Joffer in Coming To America, Mr. Mertle in The Sandlot and Terence Mann in Field of Dreams. Freeman has projected his famous voice in films such as Invictus, Million Dollar Baby and The Shawshank Redemption.
The 84-year-old recently narrated 21 Savage’s Savage Mood II, contributing to several tracks. Freeman revealed that he used an iPhone to record his parts, HYPEBEAST reported.
“I think this is the way I think. It’s basically saying don’t suffer fools and when you want something go for that,” the actors said, noting the wisdom he contributes to the lyrics. “If [Savage’s music] is a young people thing, then this is stuff they need to be aware of. So it’s a good thing to do.”
While Jones appears to be the overwhelming winner in the debate, there’s no doubt that the two actors have brought joy to many generations of families.
