The Internet Has Been Going Crazy Over #MilkCrateChallenge
The latest internet challenge #MilkCrateChallenge, also known as the #CrateChallenge and the #HoodOlympics has been making it rounds on social media. The goal of this challenge is to successfully climb over a freestanding stack of milk crates without falling. There are now hundreds of viral videos showing attempts of people trying the challenge.
The stacking formation of up-and-down staircase, standing seven crates tall its highest point.
According to Complex, a single standard industrial milk crate can withstand “thousands of pounds of pressure,” but stacked on top of one another they become highly unstable. Additionally, the challenge is most attempted on a grass surface, although it provides a slightly softer landing pad for those unable to conquer the crates.
One person was able to defeat the challenge Shauntica Williams, known as “Tic,” told theGrio she decided to try the challenge on a whim.
“I actually had just pulled up, and I had just seen them trying but I had already seen it on Instagram. So once I had seen them fall, I was just like man, they funny,” Williams said.
“I was like alright I’m bout to get up then,” she added. “I was going up there and I’m just like… you can’t fall, you can’t fall. You can’t embarrass yourself.”
