Tee Morant Stands By His Son During Postgame Interview After Playoff Win
Tee later crashed Ja’s interview when he was speaking with FOX 9.
“Can I get in there?” the father said before taking some questions from reporter Pierre Noujaim.
When asked about his son’s performance, Tee gave an honest answer.
“Ja played like trash,” he told FOX 9. “Trash.”
The devoted father also spoke about his bet with Karl Towns Sr., the father of Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns. According to Tee, Towns didn’t follow through on his promise to wear Ja’s jersey after the Timberwolves lost.
“He reneged on the bet,” Tee said. “I think he grabbed it and put it on his left arm, which I thought he was going to do anyway because he’s too big to put my son’s jersey on.”
Tee continued to talk trash, saying there’s no rivalry between the Grizzlies and the Timberwolves.
“No, we ain’t got no rivalry,” he said. “We about to kill everybody.”
The trash talker also showed respect to the Timberwolves.
“I love how Ant Man played,” he said. “I think Minnesota is building something great.”
