Tech And Biz Weren’t The Only Highlights Of AFROTECH As The Fashion Attendees Sported Couldn’t Be Missed
When people think of tech experts, fashion may not be the first thing that comes to mind. Most assume that people in technology-based careers are introverts, nerdy, and have a reputation for dressing simple – a t-shirt and jeans. For those who are aware, it’s best not to underestimate the wardrobe in a techies’ closet because, despite some, not all, techies being quiet, they express themselves loudly with a wardrobe you wouldn’t assume. One thing is for certain, the tech industry has mastered the art of being fashionably comfortable in professional settings, especially in the Black community.
Last November, AFROTECH welcomed more than 25,000 people to Austin, TX, and something noticeable was the outfits and kicks guests rocked while handling business. This year, more tech industry movers and shakers, including attendees and sponsors, came dressed to impress as they stepped on the scene with unique spins to traditional business casual wear. Check out some looks that caught Blavity’s eye while on the ground.
