TLC member T-Boz talks about the breakdown in communication she and Left Eye had before Left Eye’s death in an exclusive preview from TV One’s Uncensored.

T-Boz, aka Tionne Watkins, says in the clip how she and Left Eye, aka Lisa Lopes, were angry with each other prior to Left Eye’s death in 2002. T-Boz said the argument revolved around Left Eye going to Los Angeles with Suge Knight to make a separate album while in the middle of her commitment to TLC during their FanMail album.

“It was just the timing that she chose to do it,” she said. “She had a commitment, and we had signed the contract, and we had a deadline, you know what I’m saying? So that was the issue. I didn’t ever want people to think it was one of those situations where we’re jealous, or we didn’t want her to do it. I wanted her to live her life.”

They did make up before Left Eye’s death, with T-Boz saying Left Eye visited her when she was in the hospital.

“I was in the hospital for four months before she died,” she said. “…She came up there with a plant…that was her way of saying sorry, and she let me know she was going to Honduras, [and] that was the last time I saw her.”
