Everyone is so busy these days that it can be a challenge to find time for ourselves, but sometimes all we need a few minutes to appreciate the little things like elegantly dining in own own homes. When we talk about giving our dining tables a makeover, there are a few simple tips to keep in mind while creating a table setting.

If you’re wondering where to start when creating a tablescape, what I would recommend first is to plan a color scheme. There’s no need to get too specific, pastels, light colors, and neutrals are a good place to start when you’re thinking about a spring theme. This will make it easier to narrow down the items you’ll need for your table setting. Social media is also a great source of inspiration: Pinterest, Instagram, Youtube, or even a quick Google search. With these resources, you will be able to get many ideas to help plan the table scape you would like, as well as where to go to purchase the items!You don’t need to get too specific with your theme; it’s more about choosing a vibe and color scheme so you have some sort of guideline to stick to.

After the theme is all set it’s time to gather the essentials needed to dine. These are items such as a table runner, placemats, dishes, silverware, glasses, and napkins. Before thinking about other ways to decorate your table setting getting all of these basics prior will make it much easier to accessorize after. For my spring tablescape, I chose to stick with simple colors making it easier to use these basics over and over because of how versatile they can be!

Last but not least, it’s time to perfect your table setting with decor and accents that will make your tablescape perfectly tailored to your preferences. An important addition that makes every visual dining experience are flowers. Whether they are faux or real, the additional decor piece adds an elegance to the scape. Another way to spice up the table is by adding candles or napkin ring holders. Such is an easy way to add an elevated appearance that your guests will also love!
