Singer Keri Hilson Says She Wants Her Soulmate to be Black
Keri Hilson was recently trending on social media after she said that she wants her soulmate and life long partner to be a Black man.
The singer expressed her views in a series of tweets saying, “I want who God wants for me, but am I wrong for hoping my soulmate is a black man? He don’t even have to be American, I ‘ve dated 3 non-American black men. But I want to love a black man. Or a man of color.”
Hilson added, “And if he’s neither, he’d have to have a deep understanding and genuine support of my pro-blackness. Anybody feel me?”
Hilson’s tweets caused social media to react one Twitter user responded saying, “I can completely relate because I feel the exact same way. Sometimes I wonder if I’m being narrow minded for just wanting a black man but that is what my preference truly is. Also a big part of me does not want to be considered just a fetish for non black men”.
Another user said, “Nothing wrong with that at all. At this point I don’t care what color or ethnicity they are. Any black man I’ve ever dated or dealt with just ain’t ben it so keep my options open and just pray that someone worth my time pops up despite them being black or not.”
