A young transgender person is stuck in the confines of social conformity, struggling to break free from the prison of her masculine body. When she finds an advertisement offering her the opportunity to adopt a traditional feminine gender role, she responds, having no notion she will be picked. Her journey commences with a benefactor of wealth and refinement, a gentleman of a bygone era with a sexy side.
Pay it Forward is a fairy tale. Though it follows the transition of the character, the conflicts are all internal, in her mind and what she has to deal with socially. The first half of the book does not contain any real sexual situations. It’s a person learning to be who they are, exploring the options and finding the courage to move on. There’s some pretty hot sex in the second half but until then, it’s all about building up the appearance, becoming Anne in body and confidence to match the spirit.
It’s got a bit of a twist ending as well. I do hope you’ll enjoy it. I recommend the book to people who want some escapism with enough reality to keep it interesting. It’s not all about kink (if you’re interested in that, check out Cynthia’s Chance or Contractual Agreement). This is a romantic story but mostly an internal tale.
Final warning: the sex is quite graphic and there’s a good bit of profanity as well.
