The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) has officially announced a national partnership with Watch The Yard, the leading digital platform dedicated to celebrating Black culture, leadership, and excellence among  Black college students and alumni from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and predominantly white institutions (PWIs). This collaboration marks a significant step in amplifying the voices of Black engineers and inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders. 

“As NSBE celebrates 50 years of excellence, we remain committed to driving positive impact for generations to come,” said Janeen Uzzell, CEO of NSBE. ”Our partnership with Watch The Yard is a powerful collaboration that uplifts Black culture and amplifies the voices, successes, and stories of Black leaders in STEM.” 

Through this partnership, NSBE and Watch The Yard will work together to highlight the achievements of Black professionals in STEM, share inspirational stories, and engage with Black students and professionals in engineering and technology fields. The partnership aligns with both organizations’ goals of increasing representation, opportunity, and visibility for Black professionals.

For years, Watch The Yard has served as a cultural touchstone for Black excellence, elevating stories from HBCUs, PWIs, Black Greek-letter organizations, and Black professionals across industries. NSBE recognizes Watch The Yard’s impact in preserving Black history and culture, while also shaping the future through its storytelling and community-building efforts. 

This is not the first time Watch The Yard has led impactful national partnerships. The platform has successfully partnered with the National Black Law Students Association and has engaged in multiple national collaborations with Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote, demonstrating its ability to authentically connect with Black students and professionals.
