Mother and child abducted by two men in broad daylight from Tennessee Target parking lot
A mother and her 1-year-old son were abducted at gunpoint while putting away at a Target grocery store parking lot in Memphis, TN according to police department. Police officers responded to a 911 call of two men welding a fireman to force an unidentified mother and her infant into their car once she said she didn’t have any cash on her.
According to WREG-TV, the mother went as far as to give up her wallet and pin number to one of her cards. The suspects grabbed the child from the shopping cart and made the woman get in their car. The woman was forced to sit up front with the driver, while the armed man sat in the back with the child.
According to the victim, the suspects drove to a bank and demanded she withdraw $800 from the ATM. The men then let them go at the same Target they were picked up from, and left with her wallet. The woman immediately ran inside the store to alert an employee who would call police.
“It’s very shocking, can’t believe it almost,” Callie Alt, a shopper who was there at the time told FOX 13.
According to the Memphis Police Department, they were able to get photos of the suspects from surveillance footage of a nearby Walmart, which have since been released.
The department additionally released an photo of their vehicle, a four door goldish-tan sedan.
“A one-year-old, it’s not good. Being a mom, it’s very horrible,” Laura Parsons, another said. “It makes me want to be aware of my surroundings and lock my doors and possibly carry mace.”
