Missing Georgia Teen Found Safe, 33-Year-Old Man, Who Says They Talked On Social Media, Arrested In Connection
The 33-year-old man told authorities that he and Flagg had been communicating through social media for over a month. Initially, he told investigators that he believed the teen was 19. He then admitted that he knew she was only 14 during a polygraph interview, Lubbock’s NBC Affiliate station reported.
Court documents show Fkye told authorities that the teen left him around June 11 for another man named “Wayne” who he claims she met on a dating app. Fkye said the teen was probably located in either Pennsylvania or Connecticut.
After the polygraph interview concluded Fyke agreed to call the teen. He was able to verify to the police that Flagg was safe.
Fkye faces sexual assault and child pornography charges. While the case is pending, a judge has ordered that he remain in custody.
At this time authorities have not revealed the teen’s whereabouts. Police are coordinating with other agencies to ensure Flagg returns safely to Georgia.
