Meagan Good Says She’s Seriously Considered Getting A Firearm To Protect Herself, After The Recent Rise of Home Invasions in Los Angeles
During a recent press run for her new series “Harlem” Meagan Good spoke about getting serious about her safety. On a appearance on Charlamagne Tha God’s newest series “Tha God’s Honest Truth,” with the subject of home invasions coming up. The California native admitted that she’d feel “more comfortable” if she owned a gun.
“You know, what’s crazy is for a long time, I felt like I didn’t. But now, with everything that’s going on, I would feel more comfortable with a gun,” she told Charlamagne.
“The reason before my thought was like if something did happen to me, would I have the time to pull out a gun to defend myself?” Good said that she hopes she’d never actually have to fire the weapon in her residence. “I don’t want to kill anybody or hurt anybody, but I will defend myself,” she said.
Once she was asked how her husband, Pastor DeVon Franklin, felt about her viewpoint, she revealed she hasn’t spoken to him about it yet.
Good’s views come after several incidents of home invasions in the Los Angeles area where many of Hollywood’s rich, famous and influential live. The most recent being the fatal shooting of music executive Clarence Avant’s wife Jacqueline Avant. She was fatally shot inside of the couple’s Beverly Hills home Wednesday morning on Dec. 1.
