LeToya Luckett Talks with Ex Slim Thug in New YouTube Series, About Their Relationship
Singer LeToya Luckett has started a new series on YouTube titled, “Leave It To LeToya.” The first episode, “Having a Conversation with My Ex,” in which the former member of Destiny Child invited her ex rapper Slim Thug, on the show. The duo answered questions about their relationship.
The questions, started off easy with “How did the two of you meet?” Slim Thug said he noticed her at a club and one of his friends came over to try to see if LeToya would go over to talk to the rapper.
The singer agreed and the pair exchanged phone numbers. Although according to the rapper, LeToya “hung up” on him when he tried calling her on her birthday. A few weeks later the two ran into each other again at another club. The rapper said, “She just kept walking past me like five or six times.” Then that was where the sparks started.
When asked what they liked about each other, LeToya said she loved Slim Thug’s confidence, “He’s not shy when it comes to his artistry and his creativity. He’s a star when he walks in.” She added, “It’s a light on him when he walks in any room. It’s attractive.”
Slim Thug thanked her and then said, “She got drip; she’s always dressed like she’s going somewhere fancy.” He added, “I didn’t know she was that funny. When I got to know her more, what I liked about her was the friendship.”
When asked why the relationship ended, LeToya said, “Although his heart was ready for all that, his environment didn’t align.” Slim Thug agreed. The rapper even said he “takes responsibility for being the person who messed up.”
The video ended with the pair of Texas natives saying they are now friends. When asked if the two would ever get back together, Slim Thug responded, “We’re friends right now; let’s see what we grow.” The singer agreed with, “What he said.”
