Kevin Hart Says He Struggled Doing His Daughter’s Hair: ‘Her Hat Game Is Strong’
Hart, 41, said he was drawn to the script because of its true story.
“[I was] getting to step outside of my comfort zone,” Hart said. “It gave me the tools I think I needed to really just show the progression of me and my craft.”
Hart, who is the father of four children, said while making the movie he was able to see each of his children as young people who require special attention. He said he was encouraged as a father to deliver information to them accordingly, USA Today reported.
“It’s a learning curve,” Hart acknowledged of the process.
“The opportunity to play a Black father and show a Black father in a positive light in times where it’s very less…it’s always the same story, this is one that was a little positive. It was one of want, one of need and one of love,” Hart added.
