Karen Harasses Black Neighbor Over A Tigger Cartoon Flag Hanging Outside Her House

A white woman was caught on camera harassing her Black neighbor over a flag that displayed the cartoon character Tigger from the Disney show Winnie the Pooh & Pals

The Black neighbor, who was identified as Ambrosia, uploaded a TikTok video that captured the white woman telling her that she wanted “to talk about this Tigger flag” and that she doesn’t approve of it, as she stood on her porch.

“Why not?” Ambrosia questioned.

The Karen went on to explain that she “thought the American flag was real nice,” but she wasn’t too fond of the Tigger flag. She said she hasn’t said anything about the way Ambrosia maintains the foliage in her front and back yards, however, she needed to break her silence when it came to the cartoon flag.

“We have rules, I don’t want to have to go find out what they are, but I don’t like this…It’s called Williamsburg something,” the white woman said.

After Ambrosia responded with a simple “OK,” the woman continued complaining about the flag, reiterating that she doesn’t like it and that, “[the flag] makes the neighborhood look tacky.”

While remaining calm throughout the entire exchange, Ambrosia informed her white neighbor that contrary to her beliefs, the flag is not tacky and told her “…you’re allowed your opinion.”

The woman finally got the sense to remove herself from Ambrosia’s property, however, she couldn’t go without letting the homeowner know that she’s going to investigate and figure out what the neighborhood rules are and whether the Tigger flag is a violation.

The TikTok video was liked more than one million times and received nearly 60 thousand comments.

“What’s tacky is walking up to someone’s house just to tell them what you don’t like about it,” a user with the TikTok name alexandriahobbs5 commented.

“You handled that so well. She was looking for an argument and you ruined her day by not giving it to her,” another user with the name bamaqt2.0 told Ambrosia.

This is just one of many incidents involving overstepping white women that have taken place in the U.S. recently.

In July, a white woman in Sacramento, California was caught on video falsely accusing Ronnie Marie Paiva, a Black businesswoman, of selling drugs. Paiva, however, was just delivering hair to her client, as Blavity previously
reported.

In the same month, a white woman approached Nicholas Wilkerson, a Black man who was eating at a restaurant in California, telling him to “put these Black” women in their place or else they will ruin the country.
