Houston Father shoots alleged ‘peeping Tom’ outside little girl’s window
A father shot a man who he alleged was looking into his child’s window in Houston Texas late Sunday night. According to Harris County sheriff’s deputies, a husband and wife confronted an intoxicated man inappropriately touching himself outside their daughter’s window around 10 p.m. Sunday according to KOU 11.
The little girl reportedly yelled when she saw the man, and her parents came running.
The parents both hand weapons in their hands went outside and attempted to detain the man. Officials said that couple are licensed to carry a firearm. According to the father, he and the mother demanded the alleged peeping Tom lie down in the yard and wait for police to come. The man however, didn’t comply and walked across the street to a Valero gas station. They followed the man to the Valero gas station. Then deputies say the wife held the man outside the gas station while the husband went inside and asked the clerk to call 911.
That’s when the man wrestled the handgun out of the wife’s hands and pointed it at her, deputies said.
In fear for his wife’s life, the dad fired his weapon, shooting the man three times, deputies said.
However, the father told ABC 13 he said he believed he shot the man four times; twice in the chest, once in the stomach and once in the side. The man was transported to the hospital in critical and is now stable condition, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies say the incident will be referred to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office for a grand jury review.
The father said his daughter had complained in the past about seeing someone watching her through the window, but they didn’t beleive her.
No one else was injured in the shooting.
