As Kenya Moore’s peach for The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 remains in limbo, one person coming to her defense is longtime friend and RHOA alum, Kandi Burruss. It’s been widely reported that Moore, who’s been on the show since Season 5, was suspended amid production for Season 16 as production investigates whether she revealed controversial images of newcomer Brittany Eady.

Eady has taken to social media with posts about revenge porn being a crime, while Moore maintains her innocence.

“I don’t like the fact that they suspended Kenya. I know a lot of people was like ‘she shouldn’t have shown that’ but this is housewives,” Burruss said during an interview with Streetz 94.5’s Streetz Morning Takeover. “How many times we done did something that you think somebody shouldn’t do? So who made the rules? Why do you all of a sudden got such an issue with somebody doing something crazy to somebody?” Burruss also said the alleged images in question of Eady were already searchable online.

She also said it’s par for the course on a show like RHOA, believing that when a person throws shade, the other party has a right to react however they choose.

She added, “If it was on the internet and the girl came at her then it’s like ‘ok well’. You don’t get to choose how she comes back at her. But I guess we’ll see when we watch the episode.”

Moore has denied being involved in any type of revenge porn.

In a recent comment on Instagram in response to a fan, she once again defended herself. “No one credible including my corporate employer has confirmed anything whatsoever. Therefore, everyone is literally running with unsubstantiated claims and false narratives… patience is a virtue and so is due process,” she wrote, per Bossip.
