Georgia Sheriff Pleads Guilty To Groping TV’s Judge Glenda Hatchett
Shortly after receiving his sentence on Monday, Coody announced his guilty plea and resignation in a statement.
“To be clear, I had no intent to touch Ms. Hatchett inappropriately,” he also noted in the statement, WMAZ reported. “Unfortunately, I acted in a careless manner and for that, I have taken full responsibility for my actions.”
Coody had served as sheriff since 2017.
