Florida Burger King worker shot at customer who threw mayonnaise at her
A Florida Burger King worker was arrested after police said she shot at a customer last week. According to NBC Miami, the incident took place at 4727 Northwest 167th St. in Miami Gardens.
Shateasha Monique Hicks, 30 was arrested and faces a charge for discharging a firearm in public. She was being held on a $1,000 bond Friday, jail records showed. Hicks get into a verbal exchange with a customer in the drive-thru according to witnesses. A relative of Hicks’ says that the customer threw mayonnaise at her face.
The witness said the customer then drove off and parked in the parking lot, and Hicks left the restaurant went to her car and grabbed a gun, then fired five shots toward the person’s car as they drove away.
“She started jumping up and down, ran outside and started shooting at him,” a witness named Kevin told WSVN. “He took off after that and then she got in her car and followed him.”
The car was abandoned, however, officers tracked it down and found a gun on the floorboard.
The customer hasn’t been found and his condition is unknown. A Burger King spokesperson released the following statement:
“We are horrified to learn of the events that unfolded at this location. This unacceptable behavior does not align with our brand values of safety and security.”
