According to Business Insider, the Musée Grévin in Paris unveiled the controversial sculpture on Oct. 16 and shared a photo to its official Instagram account. 

“First day for Dwayne Johnson in Grévin, already in the spotlight with our visitors ???? ???? Are you going to visit him? ????,” the museum wrote in the post’s caption. 

While the wax figure perfectly captured the Fast X actor’s muscles, tattoos and shaved head, his pale skin color is what fans noticed most as they shared their thoughts and opinions in the comment section. 

“The rock is samoan/African American but yours looks like an Eastern European plumber ????‍♂️,” one user wrote.

“Why’s he white? And when are you going to fix it?” another asked.

“Why would you white wax (wash) him?” a user inquired.

As photos of the wax figure continued circulating on social media, the 51-year-old said he would contact the museum to improve the sculpture.

On Sunday, according to Deadline, Johnson shared a video of comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. making jokes about the wax figure and where the museum went wrong with its depiction of him.

In his caption, The Rock wrote, “For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France ???????? so we can work at “updating” my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color ????✊????????????

And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop in and have a drink with myself ???? ????”

The Grévin Museum responded to Johnson in an email, vowing to rectify the now-viral wax figure, per Deadline.

“Dwayne Johnson is right and we noticed it and will obviously remedy it as quickly as possible and send him new photos once completed,” the statement read.
