Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, celebrated the induction of 12 distinguished individuals into its Alpha Omega Chapter as Honorary Members during a historic ceremony held at Howard University on September 19, 2023. Among these notable figures is Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, a trailblazing leader who has shattered barriers and dedicated her career to advocating for social justice and equality.

Rashida Tlaib’s journey to this momentous occasion is marked by a series of historic achievements. In 2008, she etched her name in the annals of history by becoming the first Muslim woman to ever serve in the Michigan Legislature.
