(Black PR Wire) Washington, D.C. – The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), in partnership with Paramount Pictures, is proud to announce the ten recipients of the Bob Marley: One Love Social Impact Scholarship. This scholarship, launched in honor of the legacy of Bob Marley and the February release of the Bob Marley: One Love biopic, supports students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) dedicated to making a difference in their communities through social justice initiatives.

The Bob Marley: One Love Social Impact Scholarships honor Marley as a cultural icon and his message of unity by supporting ten rising sophomore, junior, and senior students with $5,000 scholarships. “Investing in college students pursuing these scholarly areas is an investment in the future of social justice and equality,” said CBCF President and CEO, Nicole Austin-Hillery. “Their passion and dedication inspire us all to work towards a more equitable world. We are proud to partner with Paramount Pictures to honor the legacy of Bob Marley and his message of unity, and to empower these young leaders in support of their dreams. Together, we are advancing the next generation of changemakers who will continue to drive impactful change in our communities.”

Through the Bob Marley: One Love Social Impact Scholarship, we are honored to support these extraordinary students who are using their voices to champion social justice,” said Marc Weinstock, President Worldwide Marketing and Distribution.  “Education is a crucial tool in the fight for equality, and by investing in these scholars, we are cultivating a future where everyone can thrive. We are proud to stand with the CBCF in this important initiative and look forward to seeing the incredible impact these students will make.”
