(BPRW) FPL’s “Power to Care” initiative celebrates 16 years of volunteerism

(Black PR Wire) Celebrating 16 years of volunteerism, Florida Power & Light Company’s (FPL) Power to Care initiative has grown from one day to an entire week with numerous projects and hundreds of employee volunteers throughout the state. Through company-wide events like this, FPL is committed to powering strong communities and helping local neighbors. On Feb. 20, more than 30 volunteers assisted Broward Partnership cleaning its campus, organizing the clothing room and more, enhancing the facility for the community of Broward County. And, on Feb. 24, more than 30 volunteers planted sea oats at Hollywood Beach in partnership with the South Florida Audubon Society in support of the Coastal Dune Restoration Project. During Power to Care, FPL volunteers supported more than 20 community projects in more than 10 counties throughout Florida, lending a hand to organizations that selflessly serve our communities.
