Black student suspended over hairstyle after CROWN act
A Black high school student in #Texas got suspended for weeks because of his natural hairstyle. This happened just days after the CROWN Act took effect, a law that is intended to prohibit race-based hair discrimination and bars employers and schools from penalizing people because of hair texture or hairstyles. Texas is one of 24 states that has enacted a version of the CROWN Act.
