Black-Owned Moving Company To Bring 50 Jobs to Charlotte, NC
Abraham Cannon, President and CEO of the company, says he is committed to providing job opportunities at a livable wage.
“It is our goal to provide equal employment opportunities for all people regardless of the community in which they live. Unemployment has become an epidemic in Charlotte as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and we are trying to do our part to provide stable jobs and opportunities to help those individuals who are looking for an opportunity to work and advance their careers. With the housing boom showing no signs of slowing down, we will continue to hire and bring good-paying jobs to Charlotte and the markets that we serve throughout the state of North Carolina” Cannon said according to Black News.
College Dudes Help U Move, Inc., was founded in 2019 and is a Black and minority-owned company that has quickly become one of the largest residential and commercial movers in the state of North Carolina. The company was able to expand from Charlotte to Greensboro and Raleigh in less than two years, with plans to open offices in Greenville South Carolina, Columbia South Carolina, and Tennessee.
“Charlotte is our home and we feel a responsibility to give back to the community that has given us so much by investing in jobs and opportunities for residents in our community,” Cannon says. “We are showing that as a minority company, we can make an impact on the communities that we serve-change starts with us!”
