Bankroll Freddie Sentenced To Prison For Drug Trafficking And Firearms Charges

Arkansas rapper Bankroll Freddie, also known as Freddie Gladney III, has been sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for charges related to drug trafficking and firearms.

Gladney, who was found guilty earlier this year after a 2022 federal gun and drug bust, was arrested with 34 members of the Every Body Killas (EBK) gang. His father, Freddie Gladney Jr., was also among the arrested gang members, THV11 reported.

Gladney III is found guilty for marijuana possession and distribution, as well as possession and distribution of a controlled substance, firearm possession in furtherance of drug trafficking and using “a communications facility” for drug trafficking crimes. The ruling came from the U.S. District Court in Eastern District Arkansas. Officials also arrested members of the Loady Murder Mobb gang, saying the groups “voluntarily and intentionally conspired” together to distribute drugs.

In addition to 12 years in prison, Gladney has been ordered to serve three years supervised release and to pay a $242,000 money judgement, KARK reported.

Gladney faced trouble when he was pulled over for speeding in 2022. Police ordered the rapper to get out of the car at that time, saying they smelled marijuana. After searching the car, police said they found troopers said that they found multiple firearms, including a privately made weapon known as a “ghost gun.” Troopers added that they found a duffle bag with 21.4 pounds of high-grade marijuana and $33,662, as well as seven ammunition magazines.

Judge James M. Moody, Jr. said Gladney’s sentence included an additional 2.5 years because he possessed the ghost gun. The court also issued a 4-level increase, which is a higher level of offense, after determining that Gladney was an organizer or leader in a criminal activity involving five or more participants.

The 30-year-old rapper signed with Quality Control in 2019 and released his debut album, From Trap to Rap, in 2020, per Baller Alert. The album featured Moneybagg Yo, Young Dolph and Lil Baby. He also released his popular track, “Pop It,” in 2021 and featured Megan Thee Stallion.
