As retailers drop DEI, some Black customers drop them
DEI rollbacks at major companies have many shoppers thinking twice about where they spend their money. NBC News’ Janelle Griffith and Claretta Bellamy spoke to Black people across the country about why they are boycotting certain companies — including Amazon, Target and Walmart — and the impact that these companies’ changes to DEI initiatives have had on their spending habits.
