All Blacks Coach Ian Foster reveals frustrations with NZ Rugby’s coaching appointment process
All Blacks coach Ian Foster joins Martin Devlin on the show, shedding light on his frustrations around New Zealand Rugby’s process to appoint their next All Black coach. Foster’s spoken out, urging the NZR board and CEO Mark Robinson to delay the coaching appointment until after the 2023 Rugby World Cup, which begins in September.
Foster talks to Marty about how his work and that of his colleagues is impacted by NZR’s recent manoeuvres, the distraction it causes with an important tournament later this year, whether it affects his desire to be in the role, public opinion about him, and more.
