We saved the best for last on our 6-day Washington DC trip. On our final afternoon, we got a rare look inside the Smithsonian Castle during its short reopening window for America’s 250th anniversary, walked through the beautiful Enid Haupt Garden (and found out it’s secretly hiding two entire museums underground). #WashingtonDC #America250 #smithsonian
Next, after grabbing a cheesecake and bottled power drink, we spent hours exploring the National Museum of American History’s music, presidential, and war exhibits — including Prince’s Cloud guitar, Dorothy’s ruby slippers, a Vietnam-era Huey helicopter, a piece of the Berlin Wall, and Watergate artifacts. #SmithsonianCastle
