Investigators are still working to determine the cause of music producer Tay Keith’s death after he was found dead in his home in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday. While autopsy results are still pending, police said foul play is not currently suspected.
Keith, legally known as Brytavious Chambers, was found unresponsive in his home, police said.
“He was found dead in his Martin St. apt. this afternoon by officers performing a welfare check,” the Metro Nashville Police Department said in a statement. “His death is unclassified pending autopsy results.”

Tay Keith worked with some of the biggest artists in the industry
Keith earned some of the highest honors as a record producer and worked with some of the biggest names in music.
In 2019, the Tennessee native earned a Grammy nomination for “Sicko Mode,” NBC News reported. Keith was attending Middle Tennessee State University when he helped produce the song in collaboration with Drake and Travis Scott.
He also worked with Eminem on “Not Alike” and Beyoncé on “Before I Let Go.” Additionally, Keith collaborated with Lil Baby on “Never Recover,” Future on “Temptation,” 21 Savage on “Rover 2.0” and Lil Nas X on “HOLIDAY.”
Some of his other work included Jennifer Lopez’s This Is Me… Now: The Album and Sexyy Red’s “Pound Town.” Keith produced four No. 1 records on the Billboard Hot 100.
How did Tay Keith get his start in music?
Keith launched his career as a teenager when he started working with his friend BlocBoy JB, according to People.
The pair found their breakthrough when Drake noticed some of their work and invited them to collaborate on the 2018 track “Look Alive.” The following year, Keith produced “Sicko Mode.”
Following Keith’s death, BlocBoy JB paid tribute to his friend with a series of photos on his Instagram Stories.
