Melody Rodgers is letting her voice be heard when it comes to her being disappointed with her co-stars. In a recent episode of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, the Seventh Avenue Beauty owner spoke with her friend Chanita Foster at her charity event.

Unfortunately, none of her co-stars attended, leaving her feeling salty. Rodgers tells Fosters that regardless of drama or tense moments in the group, she always supports their charitable endeavors, especially as the core six (the Holts, Scotts, and Scotts 2.0) first connected and partnered as “The Comeback Group” as a way of revitalizing Huntsville through shared charitable efforts. But Rodgers says the actions don’t align.

“In this group, I have found that I am more generous with my time and my money donating to their things than they are with mine,” she says. “So, I’m not interested in building friendships with these kinds of people.” Furthermore, Rodgers explains that she’s irritated by Maurice Scott’s recent DUI, noting that he prides himself on being a pillar in the community yet could make such a dangerous decision to drive while under the influence.

“After Maurice was arrested and got out for the DUI, he was on social media partying with a bottle of liquor in his hand…guess what they was out there saying? ‘We told y’all he was gonna get out! Free Reece! Free Reece!’” she gestured. “That’s some ignorance right there.”

She says the group doesn’t hold everyone to the same standard, and actions as such should be publicly denounced. Moving forward, she says she doesn’t want to hear Maurice’s long-winded speeches about positivity, likening him to a bootlegged Martin Luther King Jr.
