Netflix shows more of Colman Domingo as Bayard Rustin in the latest trailer for Rustin, as well as new key image art.

Domingo takes on the role Rustin, of the architect of the March on Washington who also served as Martin Luther King Jr.’s right-hand man. Also, as a gay Black man, Rustin also served as an advocate for LGBTQ rights before it was deemed acceptable to do so.

According to the official description:

The architect of 1963’s momentous March on Washington, Bayard Rustin was one of the greatest activists and organizers the world has ever known. He challenged authority, never apologized for who he was, what he believed, or who he desired. And he did not back down. He made history, and in turn, he was forgotten. Directed by DGA Award and five-time Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe and starring Emmy Award winner Colman Domingo, Rustin shines a long overdue spotlight on the extraordinary man who, alongside giants like the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., Adam Clayton Powell Jr., and Ella Baker, dared to imagine a different world, and inspired a movement in a march toward freedom.

The film has already won several awards during its film festival run, with audience awards at Heartland and Mill Valley Film Festivals. Director George C. Wolfe also won the Spotlight Award at Mill Valley Film Festival, the inaugural Sherzum Award at the Hamptons Film Festival and will win the Impact Award at the upcoming Middleburg Film Festival. Before its award-winning streak, the film debuted at Telluride and Toronto International Film Festivals.

Julian Breece and Dustin Lance Black wrote the screenplay for Rustin, with a story by Breece. Rustin is produced by Bruce Cohen, Higher Ground’s Tonia Davis and Wolfe. Barack Obama and Michelle Obama serve as executive producers via Higher Ground, with Mark R. Wright, Alex G. Scott, David Permut, Daniel Sladek and Chris Taaffe.

The film also stars Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, Gus Halper, CCH Pounder and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

Rustin comes to select theaters Nov. 3, with a Netflix release Nov. 17.
