Jenna Ryan Sentenced to 60 Days In Jail After Tweeting Being ‘White’ and ‘Blond’ Would Protect Her From Going To Jail After Participating At the Capital Riots
Jenna Ryan has been sentenced to 60 days in jail after thinking her white privilege was going to protect her from going to jail. The Texas real estate agent plead guilty in July to a misdemeanor charge of being on Capitol grounds in during the riots in January Ryan faced up to six months in prison. However, she will only serve two months starting the top of next year; she was also fined $1,000 as well as $500 in restitution, according to her Nov. 4 sentencing according to WUSA 9.
Ryan, 50, posted photos and video from the U.S. Capitol, where she and thousands of former President Donald Trump’s supporters came to the nation’s capital with a common goal: to overturn election results that elected Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States.
The U.S. Department of Justice and FBI have worked for months to bring rioters to justice. As of now, more than 650 people have been arrested. Ryan who plead guilty to misdemeanor charges have only been sentenced to probation and home confinement, whereas those guilty of felony charges are facing prison sentences.
